Hello everyone! It’s Paula, a spanish volunteer in the most remote village of Poland 🙂
For my first WordPress post I would like to show you a little bit about my work for the Fundacja Sztuki Współczesnej IN SITU based in Sokołowsko!
In Situ Contemporary Art Foundation was founded December 2004 by artists and cultural activists. We are talking about a magical space for meeting and exploring diverse forms of creative activity.
Together, with the cinema and the library, make up the creative places that represents the potential of our lovely Sokołowsko. Together are fighting against this currently critical situation which is impeding the progress of the polish culture.
Before arriving to Sokołowsko I didn’t expected such an amazing and personal experience. I am discovering strengths and skills that I’ve never knew about myself. Not everything is about work, but today I feel like a really wanna share with u my professional achievements and how proud I feel about them!😊
Since I have been a kid I’ve dreamed about been a recognized writer. That’s why I decided to study journalism. After finishing this year my degree, I was stuck into my routine, working in something that didn’t fulfilling me at all and worried about my future.
In that period I discovered that despite what I’ve always thought, maybe I could have another work passion. The graphic design has always been something that I wanted to go more into it, but I’ve never had the chance to studied it.
And like a sign just envoy for me, I found this amazing volunteering experience in a remote place in Poland, surrounded by mountains and silence and with the possibility of working in the communication field as a content audiovisual creator, photographer and graphic designer.
So now, everyday I wake up and I have this feeling of been doing something bigger than me. And this feeling that I am even making a change inside of me. They are giving me the opportunity to explore myself, my creativity, to expose my deep ideas and make them real.
Is just a work, but maybe is something more. Maybe is just a little step in your life that can make the difference.
Let’s been here, let’s enjoy the moment and let’s been grateful for everything that we are experienced and going through.
Here are some photos from my design works. Hope you like them!!!
Merry Christmas everybody! Try to enjoy as much as possible your time in this magical country!
